7U Case - 1U Adjustment

#1

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has converted their 7U case from the default, to having the 1U set in between the 3U?? Like the Make Noise Case

I would assume the conversion isn’t too difficult, considering the case size does not change, by shifting the bottom of the 1U rail and the top of the 3U rail, down to the correct spacing by drilling a hole in the side cheeks.

Would this be possible?

Curious, to see if anyone has done this?

Cheers
C

Should be easy enough. I thought about doing this as well but decided against it.

The tricky part is to avoid damaging the latching feet assembly built into the end cheeks.

Hmmm. In my case I don’t use the latching feet, so I wonder if it would be feasible to hire my woodworker to make me “fancy” end cheeks with screwholes that reposition the 1U row.

Doable you think?

I believe the rails are just screwed into the side…so yes? Just rack somethings so spacing works and you should be good.
