This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://intellijel.com (the “Site”) or post on our forum at https://forum.intellijel.com (the “Forum”).

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Forum

When you sign up for an account to post on the forum, your email address is mandatory for account management purposes.

  • reset your password and help keep your account secure;
  • contact you in special circumstances related to your account;

Shipping Estimates

Your address and postal/zip code may be used to obtain estimates with our shipping partners, this information is not stored and is transmitted securely when obtaining a new estimate.

Payments

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

Mailing List

If you sign up for our newsletter, we only ask for your email address so you can receive the newsletter, optionally you may update your profile with your name, but it is not required or nessesary. Your data is stored in our MailChimp provided database.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure our website’s performance but do not track or log IP addresses.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a post on the forum, the post and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

For users that register on our site and forum (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

You may unsubscribe your email from our newsletter at anytime using the link at the bottom of the newsletter or subscription email.

What rights you have over your data

European residents: If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

When visitors leave support request via the Support Button on the site we collect the data shown in the support form. It is then handled by a 3rd party support platform, Zendesk.
