Locked sequence mode or anything where i can lock the programmed sequence - program over it and go back to the locked one in a fast way. Save and Recall kind of. (Think the little dialog that appears if i really want to save it to here or here could just have an option set to of. And then everything with this setting gets saved to slot 1 in bank 1 or so) would already be fine.
Then Quick safe and load with the usual combination.
Inspired by a comment above it would be very interesting to lock a sequence / program a new one and then morph to the new one with one of the control knobs / external cv.
Thinking mainly of transitions in a live performance situation.
