Looking to update the Metropolis, does something like this would work out of the box without any tweaking or programing involved as a substitute to the Intellijel USB-ISP?
This user said it worked but I just want to make sure it didn’t involved extra steps.

Hi. I recently acquired a Metropolis and faced the same issue. I don’t think I used this programmer exactly (I’m in the UK), but I did use something similar. A tip for the top is that there are preferences within the updater app (at least the Mac one, I assume that the Windows one is similar). Try a bunch of settings if it doesn’t work. I thought I’d bricked the unit at one point, but cycling the power worked and it was updated.
