Alternatives to USB-ISP?

Hi all,

I want to update my Metropolis (which is at v1.30 atm). However the USP-ISP by Intellijel is discontinued, will an alternative USB-ISP work? If so, what is recommended? (I’m in Europe).

Thanks in advance :)!

Not sure where you are, but I see Analog Haven has it in stock: http://analoghaven.com/intellijeldesigns/usbisp/

@exper As mentioned in my question, I’m from Europe (The Netherlands), so ordering from the US is not really ideal…

Any arduino programmer should be able to do the update. I haven’t tested it yet, but the Arduino Nano is very similar to our USB ISP.

$8 US worked a treat!

I’m trying to update my newly acquired Metropolis. I have a Arduino Nano. Any pointers for how to proceed? I’m struggling…

Hey all…hoping someone can help out here. Grabbed one of these - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NZ59VK2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

But it’s not taking the driver. When I go to ‘update’ it after plugging it in, and pointing it to where I’ve unzipped the driver, it just says driver not found. Tried this quite a few ways. Fairly tech and pc savvy over here…so open to any and all complexities anyone may have to get around this!

Oh, I went ahead and tried to update the firmware on my Metropolis as well after a while…and it DID try while the module flashed it’s current firmware version yet it said it was missing the '.dll. file that seems to be the driver that isn’t loading onto this device.

Anyways, seem stuck here and would LOVE to update the firmware!
