uMidi firmware 1.15 update issue

Hi, I am attempting to update the firmware of my uMidi to 1.15 (from 1.14) through the firmware updater and keep getting this response…

"==> Error occurred during update.

dfu-util 0.9

No such file or directory: Could not open file C:\Users\Deon for reading"

I am using win10 64 pro, i have the zadig 2.3 driver installed (not sure if needed)
stm32 boot loader does show up in my list of devices.
and I do start the umidi holding the learn button.

is there something I am doing wrong?

Hm, do your user name on Windows have a space in it? eg: “Deon [something]” ? It seems like it’s failing to construct the full path of the update file.

Yes, there is a space in the username. You are right, the folder name it specifies is not complete.

The easiest thing for you to do at the moment is just create a new user with no space in the name for applying the update. I’ll make sure future versions of the updater deal with this correctly.
