So I ve got Intellijel palette 4u case, and stereo out 1u. I would kindly appreciate simple answer - so, after i connect the 6 pin connector to the jack output on the palette, do i need to plug the unit to power too?

I believe the 6-pin is for the audio signal only. It still needs to be connected to power.
