I did my first completely modular live set a little while ago and decided to redo it at home so I could properly film it.
I’m feeding a field recording of Iceland’s Dettifoss waterfall through the 4MS Spectral Multiband Resonator and Mutable Instruments Rings using Intellijel’s Quad VCA as a mixer before sending it through Rainmaker. I used a Plan B Model 14 and Intellijel Planar to route and reconfigure my modulation sources.
For this set I had a lot of fun using Rainmaker without presets and built up my settings from scratch. The panel controls make it easy to quickly access the parameters to create environments and then radically change them.
