Rainmaker screen blank

Hi

So I just got my Intellijel Rainmaker through the post, plumbed it in to find the screen not working and everything else is working, I know the obvious answer is that the screen backlight is gone but after reading about the latest updates Where the screen is updated separately I am wondering if this has been miss or not updated causing to to not light up. Any help would be appreciated.
