I’m trying to decide between these two modules. I understand that for plugging in a guitar the Pedal I/O would be there better choice, but for plugging in my Digitakt or external synth a Stereo Line In would be better. But if I had to choose one module as a compromise that could handle both tasks, which one would make more sense?
The Pedal I/O is mono, has one output, and has a dry / wet crossfader. The Stereo Line In is stereo (or two inputs) and doesn’t have any outputs. So depends on your needs really. If you’re just putting external audio into your system then the Stereo Line In is probably a better choice. If you want to insert something into the middle of your modular signal chain then the Pedal I/O will serve you better.
