Is it normal to hear noise at the output of A when engaging the distortion circuit?
Nothing at the input, when I engage the distortion circuit i get white noise at the output. Seemed odd to me, but still understanding the module.
Bonus points for how it works if this is normal
The distortion circuit is quite high gain, so it’s just amplifying background noise when you have nothing in the input.
So, lets say i am using shapeshifter in percussion mode and wanting to run it thru filter A with distortion. Is the only way to eliminate noise in between sounds placing a vca after the filter and multing my trigger to an envelope? Kind of sucks if you then want output A normalled to filter input B, let alone using up vca’s and envelopes to get rid of noise.
