Got this used on fb mostly modular garage sale, and it’s doing this. Random intermittent sharp notes on random steps. Any ideas?

It may just need calibration, but it’s also possibly an issue with the chip.

I saw something similar, but less pronounced, with mine after I had upgraded it to the latest firmware.
I seem to recall that changing all of the settings/sliders/switches and saving and loading presets made it behave correctly.
I can’t be sure whether this would work for yours.
