Sorry if this is a dumb question but am i right in thinking you can use the Stereo Line In 1U to record in both stereo and mono instrument?

Yes, that’s correct. A mono signal connected to the left input will be normalled to the right, so you could actually mult the signal if you wanted, or you could record 2 mono instruments.

Actually, I realized I was slightly mistaken with my advice. The Stereo Line In Jacks 1U has left to right normalling, not the Stereo Line In module. This means that if you connect the Stereo Line In 1U to the Stereo Line In Jacks 1U, a signal connected to the left input will be normalled to the right. However, this is not the case if you connect the Stereo Line In 1U to the 7U or Palette case jacks.
