A small update: 1.2.3.0

We may a really small adjust to the adjustment to Sense detection. If you notice a bit of jitter on the sense output, snag this one. If not, you probably won’t notice the difference :)

Wow. Really cool new features. It would be great to have a Gx in 1U, 14hp like the midi expander, since there’s a few modules that can use it now.

Hi thx for this update.
can’t find the “Connect a USB cable to your module and start it in bootloader mode. Check the manual for the specific module for instructions on how to activate this.” in the manual.
How do I start it in bootloader mode ?

The instructions are in the Firmware Update app.

Seconding the request for the Gx module in 1U format. This would be fantastic!

Hey i’ve updated it and i got almost no volume out of the mix now. Anyone else experienced this ?

It’s worst than no volume actually i’m not sure whats up.
I’m patching it as a quad crossfader, with input ABCD fed different waveform from dixie 2+. I have the mix out connected but i get like nothing out of it.

Hmmm… I don’t get that on my unit. Might be best if you send a video demonstrating the problem to support@intellijel.com

Awesome and unexpected update. Nice!

One thing I notice is it’s easy to place the joystick in a position that freaks out the Gx gate outputs - it happens when the joystick is placed on the border of / between zones.

You say that like it’s a bad thing…

Yeah that’s expected when riding the border of the 2

Ha!

Yeah I suppose it could be a good thing - but it tends to not be :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’m wondering if it could be fixed by being more deliberate when crossing between zones - like rounding up/down. In general, I think it would perform better if it was cleaner.

What do other peeps think?

Page 28 of manual needs updating to reflect the new mega 4mins time

…allows you to record up to 30s of high-resolution joystick movements

I agree. I think having the glitchiness is not always desirable. Could it be possible to set it up to choose between a cleaner mode or a glitchy mode by some sort of button combination?

A number of you have clearly figured this out. The I2C connector on the back of my Planar 2 doesn’t have a red stripe indicator. Which way does it go? Thanks.

EDIT
Found it in the manual. Read right over it the first time.

Still hoping that the glitchiness in the gate outputs could be eliminated. I love the expander functionality but too often I will stop wiggling the joystick, and it lands at the spot where the gate output can’t decide which value to lock to, and so the modules I have the gate wired up to start going nuts - ha!

Is it normal for the gate output to be stuck at right around 3v? Would the new firmware fix that or do I need to contact support? Mine randomly stopped one day when I powered it on. The lights still work, but not the gate

There is a typo on page 39, about using the Gx.

  1. Connect the other end of the 12C cable to your Planar2 module.
